Music-a-thon 2016

Saturday January 23  9a-9p

Everyone should have received a packet with information, pledge forms and permission slips for this wonderful event.  The Music-a-thon is a major fundraiser for the TMA.  We need your help.  Start getting sponsors, and start preparing for a day of fun and music.

All documents and forms are available on the TMA Music-a-thon web page.

Please contact Mary O’Coin for more information, to volunteer your time or talents or to make a donation for this fabulous event.

TMA Meeting

Wednesday January 13  6:30p

in the Tantasqua Regional Junior High Library

TMA meetings are a great opportunity to learn about the TMA and to support our student musicians through your involvement. All are welcome to attend.

On Wednesday January 13th we plan to discuss:

  • Changes to TMA funding policies
  • Planning our next fundraisers:
    • Music-a-thon
    • US National Indoor Archery Tournament Concessions
  • The Tantasqua Music Apparel Store

Tantasqua Music Apparel Store

The Tantasqua Music Apparel Store got off to a rocky start.  We had some technical problems and then ran into some issues in delivering the items.  Fortunately everyone now has the apparel they ordered.  We’re sorry for all the confusion.

We’re hoping to re-open the store soon. However, we’re sad to announce that Brenda Cibien has resigned as our Apparel Coordinator.  Her knowledge and enthusiasm made the creation of our Apparel Store possible.  We’re grateful for all she did to help the TMA.  She’s offered to continue helping whomever steps in as our new coordinator.

Anyone who is interested in volunteering to become the TMA Apparel Coordinator should contact Becky Celuzza.

High School Winter Concert

The High School music students gave us a wonderful winter concert on Thursday December 17.

There were excellent performances from the Percussion Ensemble, the Choraleers, the Jazz Ensemble, the Concert Band and Concert Choir.

The event was a great success for the TMA and we raised more than expected from our concessions and raffles.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered.
